Street AIR System
The Street AIR System is a high-tech system for increased passive safety that detects dangerous situations and triggers an airbag. It is identical to the Tech-Air Street Airbag System from Alpinestars. The Street AIR system is intelligent, efficient, fast, autonomous, reliable, ergonomic and Dekra-tested:
Intelligent: A special activation algorithm detects an accident situation and triggers the system.

• Efficient: The system protects the shoulders, collarbones, chest and back.
• Fast: In severe falls, the system triggers in 30-60 milliseconds and inflates the protector in 25 milliseconds.
• Autonomous: The system requires neither a connection to the motorbike nor other attachments.
• Reliable: The system and its mode of operation have been intensively tested in various crash tests as well as in simulations.
• Ergonomic: The airbag is available in different sizes (thus suitable for riders of different statures). This ensures a pleasant wearing comfort and a perfect fit.
• Dekra-tested: The system is certified according to the strict requirements of Dekra.

The Street AIR system is controlled by the intelligent activation algorithm. This analyses the sensor data and decides when the system is triggered. In the event of an immediate fall, the system triggers in 30-60 milliseconds. If a critical situation develops only gradually, it is continuously evaluated by the sophisticated algorithm, which in this case triggers the airbag later or not at all. The Street AIR System airbag inflates in 25 milliseconds after deployment and provides full protection after a maximum of 85 milliseconds. The system only activates when necessary. Thus, it does not deploy in rear-end collisions at speeds below 20 km/h.

The airbag is offered in different sizes. Thus, it offers drivers of different statures the best protection and comfort. The system works autonomously without any attachments to the motorbike, i.e. there is no disturbing cable connection to the motorbike. The waistcoat's own weight of approx. 2 kg is hardly noticeable when put on.

The Street AIR system consists of an electronic system (hardware, activation algorithm and software) and a compressed air system (gas generator and airbag). All components are located in the back of the waistcoat. There is no connection to the vehicle, it is an autonomous system that can be used on any vehicle.

The Street AIR system acts in conjunction with the conventional protectors of the jacket and protects in particular the shoulders, collarbones, chest and back. The shoulders receive additional protection from the protector, as confirmed by certification to the current EN 1621.1 standard and the future EN 1621.4 standard. The system reduces the risk of impact of the helmet on the collarbone.

When does the system protect?
The Street AIR system is designed for road use and, with restrictions, for off-road use (not extreme off-road, see user manual for details). There it recognises critical situations and intervenes in the following cases:

• Collisions at a speed of over 20 km/h
• Lowsider with rolling away: The motorbike slips away due to loss of grip on the front or rear wheel, the rider rolls away.
• The Street AIR system is absolutely waterproof and ready for use in any weather. - The electronics are protected by a robust and water-repellent housing.
• Worn under a compatible jacket, the Street AIR system is absolutely waterproof.

Activation:
The Street AIR system is switched on at the main switch of the waistcoat and then activated automatically by closing the jacket front zip (with sensor). LED indicator on the left arm of the jacket signals the status of the Street AIR system including functionality and battery charge level.

Please note!
The Street AIR system may only be used for motorcycling in road traffic and with restrictions for off-road use, within the conditions and limitations described in the operating instructions. The system is not intended for use in the following:

• Any racing or competitive events
• Enduro, motocross or supermoto events
• Motorcycle stunts
• Non-motorcycle activities

No system, including the Street AIR system, can provide perfect and total protection. Every system has its limits in terms of effectiveness, beyond which there are possibilities of injury.
