The Navigator VI is more than just a signpost: it takes you on dream tours. Its large 5-inch touchscreen shows you the way to driving fun without limits. The circular polarisation filter (CPOL) of the display minimises reflections, improves contrast and thus guarantees optimal readability even in direct sunlight. So you always have a clear overview. With the optional car mounting kit, you can also use it multifunctionally. In addition, the pioneering Trip technology lets you determine exactly where you're going. And with the optional smartphone link for real-time traffic jam information and current weather reports, you will always stay up-to-date.

Find new routes
In addition to doubling the integrated memory capacity from 8 GB to now 16 GB, the new Navigator VI with the routing option "Curvy roads" offers a deliberate avoidance of urban areas, if traffic-related possible. Also new is the feature "Avoidance of major country or federal roads" during route calculation. In combination with the already existing function "Avoid motorways", roads suitable for motorcycling can now be selected even better. Finally, the "Round Trip" function enables round trips according to time, distance or intermediate destination and thus opens up another new possibility to make the motorcycling experience as individual and intensive as possible. With the "Natural Guidance" function, navigation announcements also provide an exact description of the surroundings.

Guide
"Turn left before the cathedral. Thanks to advanced TTS navigation announcements, you'll never lose your bearings again: the precise environment description uses clues such as traffic lights, traffic signs and even buildings. In addition, you can now conveniently search for destinations with your smartphone and easily send them to the Navigator VI.

To the ears
In conjunction with Bluetooth, the new "music streaming" feature allows you to listen to music tracks stored on a smartphone. Even compatible action cams can be controlled directly from the Navigator VI. A comfortable and intuitively designed operation of all functions relevant during the ride is model-specific either via the 4-button mount cradle or from the handlebar via the multi-controller. In conjunction with the navigation preparation, further functions such as the "My Motorcycle" pages and warning and status messages are available. With the optional Garmin Smartphone Link app, traffic jam information and weather information can be accessed in real time. Lifelong free updates on pre-installed map data as well as an optional car mounting kit finally makes the new BMW Motorrad Navigator VI a perfect companion.

Navigation preparation
In conjunction with the navigation preparation, further groundbreaking functions such as the "My Motorcycle pages, warning and status messages as well as the optional smartphone link for traffic jam information in real time and current weather reports turn your tour into a multimedia event. On BMW motorbikes with navigation preparation, the Navigator VI can also be operated comfortably and safely from the handlebar using the Multi-Controller. MyMotorcycle**
16 freely configurable fields, selectable from approximately 40 values. The type and number of values available for selection depends on the special equipment of the motorbike. Certain values can be reset directly via the Navigator V. The values of the first line can be displayed enlarged on further individual pages via the Multi-Controller (not on the K1600GT, K1600GTL, K1600GTL Exclusive and R1200RT)

MyMotorcycle Status
The MyMotorcycle Status page is only available, when the unit is not in the vehicle and tabulates the most recent information received from the vehicle. In addition, service information is also displayed, such as range, reserve active, front/rear tyre pressure, vehicle mileage, vehicle identification number, service date, service distance, active warning message(s).

MyMotorcycle Last Ride
The Last Ride page is only available when the unit is not in the vehicle and presents a tabular summary of the last ride. The two sections (Statistics, Temperatures) can be reset separately.

Additional contents of the MyMotorcycle Feature:
Warning and status messages of the motorbike are displayed on the left side of the main map page. If there are several active warning messages, the number of messages is indicated below the warning triangle (not available on all models). If there is a connection to the BMW Motorrad communication system, a new warning is signalled by a warning tone in the helmet. Pressing the warning triangle opens a list of all warning messages if there is more than one message. When a message is selected, additional information is displayed. When the fuel reserve is selected, the nearest petrol stations in the vicinity are displayed
