Welcome to Bohling and Eisele

Not every successful company foundation needs a garage - sometimes a backyard is enough: On 14 January 1991, the three partners Martin Uhl, Gunter Bohling and Thomas Eisele founded Motorradhaus Bohling u. Eisele & Co GmbH in Karlsruhe-Durchlach. The first company headquarters was located directly behind the Gablenz car dealership - but it was not to be the last. Success was not long in coming. After all, we were an authorised dealer of the Japanese motorbike brand that sovereignly dominated the Grand Prix in the 90s.

We distribute, for example, all 17 leading brands of motorbike helmets as well as the largest manufacturers in the field of leather suits, motorbike jackets, motorbike trousers and motorbike boots. We also place strict emphasis on quality in the area of motorbike accessories. For example, in addition to GIVI, Bagster and SW-Motech, we also distribute the luggage specialist Hepco & Becker, which produces in Germany.

With every race victory, the enthusiasm, the number of loyal customers and of course the model range grew. So after only two years, both the sales and service areas had reached their limits. The first move was made within the town. With more than 300 square metres of exhibition space and a workshop area of 150 square metres, we took off dynamically in 1993. A thoroughly successful start, which was, however, abruptly interrupted by the tragic accidental death of our co-founder Thomas Eisele. With team spirit, enormous will and external support on the commercial side, we set the course for a sustainable future in spite of this stroke of fate in the same year.

How sustainable was soon to become apparent: By the turn of the millennium, the premises were once again too small. So in 2001, after extensive renovation work, we moved into our new company headquarters in Karlsruhe-Grötzingen. In more than 25 years, the small backyard business has grown into a highly lively company with 24 employees and a total area of more than 1200 square metres. But experience shows that we can be very curious to see how long this space will last us.
